"The Big Show with Matt Perrault"- Weekdays - 2PM to 6PM
Matt comes to Omaha after hosting a very successful morning show in Huntsville, Alabama for 5 years. After graduating from UMass Amherst in 1999, Matt was hired to be the play by play voice of the Virginia Women's Basketball team. After having his fill of play by play Matt moved onto "the talk game." Matt has covered teams in the Atlantic 10 Conference, Atlantic Coast Conference, and the SouthEastern Conference and is excited about the opportunity to work in the Big 12. Matt's family, including his mom, stepdad, two brothers and younger sister, all live just outside of Boston. Matt also has a brother who is an organic farmer in Western Mass.
10 Questions with Matt
Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Andover, Massachusetts, a town 25 miles from Boston most known for the famous private high school attended by George W. Bush and members of the Kennedy family.
When did you first get into radio?
I was a freshmen at UMass and I walked into my college radio station and fell in love with the medium. I first hosted my own 3 hour rock show and then got into sports broadcasting. I was much better at sports broadcasting than being a DJ.
Favorite Sports Teams?
World Champion Boston Red Sox and 3 time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots. As for college, I've followed the Florida Gators off and on my whole life.
Favorite Sports Movie?
Field of Dreams - the only movie to capture the essence of Fenway Park
Favorite Sports Memory?
Last out of Game 4 for the 2004 World Series....and the collapse of the Yankees in the ALCS. Runner up - Adam Vientieri's 2 game winning kicks in the Super Bowls.
Least Favorite Sports Team?
Easy - The New York Yankees and their "Stupid Yankee Fans"
Least Favorite Sports Moment?
Bill Buckner in the 1986 World Series
Homemade Tomato Sauce, Eggplant Parm, and Wine
Favorite Uniform in College Football?
Alabama - even before working there, I loved the simple nature of just being a number

Nothing - 2004 was already the greatest year of my life. Wish granted.....
